This was a project aimed at enlightening people about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as encouraging them to take ownership of the global development goals. It was held at Multipurpose Hall, College of Legal Studies, Nguru, Nigeria; with over 200 people from various places in attendance.

Active Citizenship Summit was an event organized to brainstorm on the roles of young persons in community development in relation to the SDGs. It was a collaborative project with JCI Elkanemi, held at Federal Secretariat Multipurpose Hall, Maiduguri, Borno – Nigeria

This was a Career Guidance designed to empower Secondary School students about career options and opportunities available to them. This was the first one held at Ngilewa Secondary School, Yobe, Nigeria; with over 500 beneficiaries.

This was a Career Guidance designed to empower Secondary School students about career options and opportunities available to them. This was the second version held at Central Secondary School, Yobe, Nigeria; with over 500 beneficiaries.

This was a Career Guidance designed to empower Secondary School students about career options and opportunities available to them. This was the third version held at Girgiri Secondary School, Yobe, Nigeria; with over 400 beneficiaries.

This was a Career Guidance designed to empower Secondary School students about career options and opportunities available to them. This was the fourth version held at Hausari Secondary School, Yobe, Nigeria; with over 400 beneficiaries.

This was a training designed to empower youth corps members under the umbrella of National Youth Service Corps – Sustainable Development Goals Group (NYSC-SDGs CDS) network to take voluntary actions towards sustainable development in their communities. This was held at Federal Secretariat Multipurpose Hall, Maiduguri, Nigeria with over 150 people in attendance.

CV writing training is organized for final year students of University of Maiduguri in order to equip them on the do’s and don’t’s of writing a CV, as well as how to package a CV to be more attractive for employers.

This is a continuous project that is aimed at identifying people with disabilities in various schools and empowering them financially and in kind so as to encourage them to continue studying despite their disabilities. So far, we have provided writing materials, uniforms and paid school fees of numerous disable persons.

This is ongoing project aimed at creating rapport with traditional authorities in various beneficiary communities for familiarization, ease of execution of projects and seeking cooperation.

This was a project aimed at empowering young pupils with communication and literacy skills through learning words, sounds and language formation, as well as identification of body parts. Books, pencils, sharpeners and other learning materials were distributed to pupils at the end of each session. Over 500 pupils benefitted from this initiative. It was the first version of the project held at Ngilewa Primary School, Yobe – Nigeria.

This project brought together representatives of various civil organisations and government representatives towards finding solution to the lingering drug abuse, insecurity and electoral violence in communities. It was held at Yobe, Nigeria with over 100 stakeholders in attendance.

This project was organized to empower Almajiri children through encouraging self-reliance and sensitization on personal hygiene, as well as the distribution of shoes, toiletries and other goods. This was done in selected schools and bases of Almajiri children in Yobe State, Nigeria.

This was a river tour on the renowned Garbi lake / river at Nguru, Yobe – Nigeria

This is a stress buster after series of projects. It was done to exchange smiles, network and have fun at Yobe – Nigeria

This is a feast organized to discuss projects; as well as network and socialize with interested persons in Maiduguri, Borno – Nigeria

This is annual event of Students’ Intellectual Club with support and participation from sister organisations in an effort to unite people of different ethnic, tribe and religion in a celebratory fashion. IDI supported and participated in the event.

Safety and Security training was organised to empower youths and women with the necessary skills needed to train children and teenagers on safety and security tips in volatile areas.

IDI celebrates International Youth Day with other youth led sister organisations and deliberated on the 2019 theme “Transforming Education.”
